Role: MySQL DBA

Mandatory Skills: SQL, MySQL Database Services, Other Database technologies (NoSQL,
MongoDB or PostgreSQL etc.) , MySQL Storage engines such as InnoDB / MyISAM etc, ETL Tool,
Unix Shell Scripting, Git
Location: Remote (Location - it’s like once a month in office (as per requirement) and rest is remote, office location - Noida)
We are looking for an experienced MySQL database administrator who will be responsible for
ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances. You will also be
responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances. You will
be working with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
2. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
3. Prepare documentations and specifications
4. Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
5. Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
6. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Requirements:
1. Experience with data modeling in relational databases and writing complex SQL queries.
2. Familiarity with monitoring tools and how to apply to DB environment.
3. ETL / data migration experience with large data sets.
4. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field preferred.
5. Unix shell scripting and the ability to automate routine tasks.
6. Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
7. Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL.
8. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
9. Experience with replication configuration in MySQL.
10. Must be ready to support environments remotely while on on-call.
11. Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
12. Experience with ETL tools and data warehouse concepts is a plus.
13. Experience with Percona for MySQL Server.
14. Experience with MySQL Backup tools and Monitoring tools.
15. Experience with Reporting/Visualization tools is a plus.
16. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
17. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
18. Passion for learning and staying current with new technologies and methodologies.
