Offer summary
Key responsabilities:
- Lead development of backend software
- Contribute to frontend development
This week i'm kicking off one of these campaigns for a specialist safety consultancy in Aberdeen who are going through such an investment in building their in-house software function.
On paper this is an easy find - they offer flexibility around working hours, 90% remote working, they are looking for a senior engineer who wants to grow into a lead position and build a team around them.
They are a commercially successful, growing and innovative employer who are embracing the productivity and efficiency of digital applications into traditional industries and are also looking toward advancements in AI and Machine Learning to further develop their product and service offerings.
They are also looking to build a solid culture, offering autonomy and a voice t the table for someone to come in and look at what they have built and provide input, decision making and continuous improvement to their software build.
It's being built in C# stack with a focus on backend development with some frontend vue software through into the mix, but we arent too bothered about your specific frontend stack experience, any modern javascript background would be ideal.
When you are bringing in the first hire of its kind into any business - the personal fit has to be absolutely bang on.
The role has to offer enough challenge to keep you motivated and engaged past the first 12/24 months and I am typically looking for someone who is not only looking to take the leap from developer to lead; but someone who has the enthusiasm to make this leap with a fair degree of autonomy.
This position will be the seed that the team culture will stem from and that comes with responsibility on my part. So, yeah - its about as challenging an opportunity it gets - but this is also going to be a an awesome opportunity if you are the right person!
