Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Bridgeport as a Civil Engineering Project Manager in the Civil/Site Group. We have a great, high energy, multidisciplined office that is conveniently located just off of interstate 79 and within walking distance of multiple restaurants. In addition, we offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of 2 days work-from-home or 1 day off every other week. As a Civil Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) you will be responsible for:

  • Design and manage project teams to create abandoned mine land reclamation, remediation plans, and construction documents for WVDEP AML group.
  • Opportunity to design and manage site development design and permitting for anything from industrial sites to a new school project.
  • Quality control, client interfacing, budgeting, and mentoring and supervising junior engineers.
  • Review the design aspects which will include site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities.
  • Interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - from concept, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.
Qualifications:
  • BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field;
  • 7+ years experience;
  • Possess Professional Engineering (PE) license in WV, or the ability to obtain or transfer license within 6 months of start date;
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D;
  • Experience with the design of mine seals;
  • Experience with highwall reclamation site design and layout;
  • Ability to develop and review stormwater calculations and utilize Hydraulic and Hydrologic modelling software such as HydroCAD, HY-8, Hydraulic Toolbox, AutoCAD Storm and Sanitary Analysis, HEC-RAS, etc.;
  • Experience with Acid Mine Discharge (AMD) treatment processes and mitigation - familiarity with OSMRE’s AMDTreat software a plus.
