Job description

Staff4Me is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Labor and Employment Officer with a background in Philippine Taxation to join our team. As a Labor and Employment Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on labor and employment matters, as well as handling tax-related concerns and compliance.

 

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing labor and employment policies and procedures in compliance with Philippine laws and regulations.
  • Providing advice and guidance on labor and employment matters, including employment contracts, employee benefits, disciplinary actions, and termination.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations in relation to employee compensation, benefits, and payroll.
  • Preparing and submitting tax reports, returns, and other required documentation to the relevant Philippine tax authorities.
  • Handling tax audits and resolving any tax-related issues or disputes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in labor and employment laws and tax regulations, and advising the company on any potential impact.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and legal teams, to ensure consistent and compliant practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Philippine taxation, including income tax, employee compensation, and other relevant tax matters.
  • Excellent understanding of payroll processes and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including MS Office and relevant HRIS or payroll systems.
  • Professional certification in HR, accounting, or taxation is a plus.
