Job Description:
This Velocity Specialist position is part of our New Graduate Program, focused on training candidates who are early in their corporate careers or recent College Graduates. As a Velocity Specialist, you will be placed in the Specialist I position within the Professional Services Organization.
Your Responsibilities
- The Specialist I, Professional Services Consulting is responsible for assisting clients in meeting their organizational goals and objectives. This role will work both independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and are knowledgeable in the company’s solutions, best practice configurations and workflows. This role will support and follow the guidance of more senior team members and as they develop will be expected to contribute to all aspects of client engagements.
Your daily tasks:
- Work closely with project and client teams supporting Professional Services account implementation strategy and service plan development.
- Provide consulting services, such as best practice processes and workflows, and configuration regarding of NextGen solutions to clients in various locations; that can include, but is not limited to, client sites, Nextgen offices, and remotely.
- Conduct and document Discovery for new implementations, used to determine client-specific configurations and workflows.
- Build, configure, maintain, and edit best practice workflows to meet specific client needs.
- Document identified gaps in product functionality using standardized processes.
- Document all client interactions using standardized processes.
- Responsible for Go-Live support and adoption of the company's products; onsite or remotely activate clients new EHR applications with Go-Live support, issue resolution and end-user adoption of the company's products.
- Contribute to service solution development efforts that best address client needs.
- Maintain subject matter expertise to complete assigned work.
- Travel up to 75%. Some weekend work will be required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge working within the software life cycle; client relationships and effective customer service methodologies; healthcare delivery including but not limited to the HITECH and MACRA legislation and related programs and regulations; Develop knowledge of healthcare industry and consulting methodologies. Microsoft Office Suite. General knowledge of NextGen Solutions differentiating nuances of markets & specialties preferred.
- Skill customer focus with effective communication & interpersonal skills; collaboration; problem solving, conflict resolution; project management; presentation; organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to: Prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Establish and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect.
Requirements:
- Experience working with healthcare-oriented clients and projects.
- NextGen NCP Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Alternate assessments or certifications for roles that do not have NCP alignment
- Maintain and renew certification.
Preferred:
- 1+ years’ working in consulting and/or supporting a professional services organization.
- 1+ years’ direct implementation experience with ambulatory health information systems.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Data Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
- Complete continuing education programs and additional training related to this role as required by manager.
- Or any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
