QT / Crank Software Engineer at Blue Sparq

Our innovative portfolio includes groundbreaking products like the Fresh Blends Smoothie Machine, Vendibean Kiosk Coffee Machine, and the RepScrubs perioperative attire vending machine. 

We are currently seeking an electrical/software/computer engineer with a passion for C++/QT/QML and Crank development to join our fast-paced and innovative team in Cape Coral, Florida. 

Preferred location: Cape Coral, Florida, but remote candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

· Work with principal engineers, senior software engineers, and peers to understand the required tasks.

· Develop business logic using state machines in C++ using Qt Creator in Linux and/or Windows environments.

· Assist UI/UX engineers in the development of pixel-perfect graphical components for use in the final application.

· Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to develop communication logic with various I/O control boards.

· Perform testing to ensure products meet design goals.

· Conduct independent research and development work to resolve problems with existing products.

· Prepare documentation detailing test plans, test results, and installation/operational instructions for end users.

· Occasionally travel for system integration assistance and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

· Experience with QT.

· Familiarity with the Linux operating system and shell scripts.

· A solid understanding of the C/C++ programming language.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to adapt to new process requirements and a diversity of company production tasks.

· Experience with Microchip PIC and/or other Microcontrollers preferred.

· Experience with XML and JSON data preferred.

· Experience with Crank Storyboard development preferred.
