The Infrastructure Operations
Manager is responsible for the management and operation of cryptographic
facilities, ensuring the maintenance of operational status and overseeing the
use of Tech Control equipment. This role requires a high level of technical
expertise, leadership, and clear communication skills to effectively supervise
tech control employees and maintain Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Information Management
Operations and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
This position is contingent
upon contract award.
Essential Duties
and Responsibilities:
· Manage and
operate cryptographic facilities with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a
similar capacity.
· Maintain the
operational status of Tech Control facilities, ensuring all equipment such as Switches,
Encryption devices, Network Operation Consoles, and Circuits are functioning
optimally.
· Supervise and
provide technical direction to tech control employees, ensuring adherence to
industry standards and best practices.
· Communicate
effectively with the highest levels of management, providing oral and written
reports and updates.
· Operate and
maintain Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions in accordance with DISAC
310-175-9.
· Coordinate,
restore, and report maintenance activities necessary for the effective upkeep
of transmission paths and facilities.
· Handle and manage
incidents and service requests, including changes, problems, configurations,
and requisitions for equipment and services.
· Ensure compliance
with all relevant regulations and maintain a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
adjudicated clearance TS, SCI eligible.
Requirements
Education and/or
Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree
in an IT-related field is required.
· 5 or more years
of experience managing and operating cryptographic facilities.
· Demonstrated
knowledge and successful supervision of tech control employees in efforts
similar in size and scope as referenced under this Call Order.
Certifications,
Licenses, Registrations:
· Rapid Response
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is
required.
Security
Clearance:
· Must possess a
Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) adjudicated clearance TS, SCI eligible.
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:
· In-depth
knowledge of Tech Control equipment and maintenance procedures.
· Proven ability to
provide technical directions and supervision.
· Familiarity with
industry accepted standards and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
· Strong oral and
written communication skills.
· Ability to manage
and prioritize incidents and service requests effectively.
Work Environment:
This position will be
primarily on-site at the Pentagon Reservation. The Infrastructure Operations
Manager is expected to work within secure facilities and adhere to all security
protocols associated with the environment. Opportunity to work from home may be
available but is not guaranteed and is subject to the requirements of the role
and the discretion of management. The role may involve responding to urgent
issues outside of standard working hours and requires a high degree of
responsiveness and flexibility.
