​We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer to enhance and drive the development of our Android-based products. This role requires a strong background in Android application development, proficiency in both Java and C/C++, and a solid understanding of Android OS, including direct experience with Board Support Package (BSP) and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).

Requirements
At L4B Software you will:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new applications as well as update existing applications on the Android platform.
  • Develop robust Android applications and software components from conception through to deployment, utilizing the Android SDK.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across a variety of Android devices.
  • Implement BSP and HAL for integration with different hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Engage in the entire app lifecycle, right from concept stage until delivery and post-launch support.
  • Innovate and apply the latest technologies, processes, and tools to keep the technology stack modern and competitive.
  • Ensure all codes are well documented and maintain the highest code quality and organization.
  • Actively participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and updating application functionalities.
  • Maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments tailored towards a robust Android ecosystem.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Android application development.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Proficiency in Java, C/C++, and familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experienced with Android GUI frameworks and concepts, e.g., activities, fragments, and services.
  • Deep understanding of BSP, HAL, and the overall Android architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex systems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles for a scalable application.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills capable of working in a globally distributed team environment.
