What You Will Do
Are you a motivated developer with demonstrated experience delivering successful  functionality? If so, our AgileAssets’ division is looking for people like you to join our established team of engineers to develop AgileAssets software implementation projects with a focus on LRS/GIS scope through backlog creation and development. As a LRS and GIS Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our company's spatial data management systems, particularly focusing on LRS and GIS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality software applications. The successful candidate will possess strong programming skills, expertise in geospatial data management, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex spatial problems.The LRS/GIS Developer must have the ability to thoroughly understand the software solution and system capabilities in order to translate client business needs and goals into a finished application.  Experience with Agile Scrum is a definite plus.  This position requires some travel to client sites up to 25%.

  • Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications to support spatial data management needs.
  • Drive the daily execution of scope of work for the integrated enterprise software solution development team (kick-off through project close) to meet contract requirements.
  • Formally identifies, assesses, and monitors the project scope.
  • Lead data mapping and integration plan for clients data.
  • Research and determine the clients’ needs to determine which features to include in product implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development teams to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing LRS and GIS applications.


What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, GIS or related field
  • Knowledge and experience of Software Development Life Cycle
  • 3+ years’ experience and a demonstrated proficiency in data extraction, analysis and scripting tools, preferably Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL
  • 2+ years’ experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience working with Municipal, State and Federal Agencies is a plus.
  • Prior experience with LRS/GIS and working knowledge and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or other similar systems is a plus
  • Self-starter with a technical background in software and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and manage scope, prioritize work effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Solid understanding of design quality standards.
