Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as an STP Operator or in a similar role
• Knowledge of sewage treatment processes and equipment
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental standards
• Ability to operate and maintain various STP system components
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and work in outdoor environments
• Valid certification or license related to sewage treatment operations

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) system according to established procedures and standards
• Monitor and adjust the treatment process parameters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or malfunctions
• Keep accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and laboratory test results
• Coordinate with external agencies and vendors for required supplies and services
• Assist in training and mentoring junior operators
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct periodic checks on the quality of treated water
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize plant performance
