The Account Manager II oversees assigned Generac accounts and associated support organizations. The Account Manager II has the responsibility to develop short- and long-range goals for assigned accounts and lead Generac clients to achieve objectives. This role acts as the primary corporate contact to manage relationships, execute new growth strategies, integrate field efforts, and uphold margins with key accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Conducts market research, analyzing competitive landscape to identify opportunities. - Develops tactical sales plan with short- and long-range objectives for assigned account sales. - Works with Marketing to introduce new products and programs to increase market share and brand awareness. - Acts as primary contact for customer contacts and expedites identified issues. - Develops new customers. - Works with clients to develop sales and promotional opportunities to generate revenue. - Develops and provides product knowledge training to all levels of management and sales agents. - Manages information to key internal personnel from customer systems. - Creates and presents channel specific programs and promotions to key accounts and decision makers to increase sales. - Manages product line reviews (PLRs).
Minimal Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience - 4 years of industrial equipment sales or account experience in sales with a marketing emphasis - Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications: - Effective negotiation skills, strong time management and independent work practices - Working knowledge of OEM / Distribution models, including commercial and incoterms - Previous experience in the power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment industries - Bilingual English / Spanish

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Travel required.
