Jr Financial Analyst

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance.

A Junior Financial Analyst assists in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting processes, supporting senior analysts and managers in financial decision-making and strategic planning. **

Compensation & Benefits:**

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Jr Financial Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Jr Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in financial analysis tasks such as variance analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management review.
  • Conducting research and data gathering to support financial decision-making processes.
  • Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of investment opportunities and potential risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and insights.
  • Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
  • Adhering to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
  • Providing support to senior financial analysts and managers in various financial activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Jr Financial Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Internships or entry-level positions in finance or accounting are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with financial data and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and tools.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ethical and professional conduct in handling confidential financial information.
