Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to oversee our team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for world languages assessments. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the world languages assessment project, including coordinating with SMEs, ensuring the quality and accuracy of assessment items, and maintaining project timelines. You will leverage your bilingual proficiency in the native language and English, along with your expertise in assessment writing, to effectively collaborate with SMEs and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) responsible for developing and curating assessment items for AP exams in world languages.
  • Provide guidance and support to SMEs throughout the assessment item development process, ensuring alignment with AP standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to review and refine assessment items, offering insights and expertise in assessment writing as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assessment items.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and linguistic integrity of assessment items.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Stay informed about developments in language education and assessment practices, incorporating best practices into the project as appropriate.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Education, Linguistics, Language Studies).
  • Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in educational assessment or language education.
  • Bilingual proficiency in the native language and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience in assessment writing or content development, with a strong understanding of assessment principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
