What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions across the entire stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure applications that meet our clients' needs. As a subject matter expert, you will provide mentorship to the team and contribute to architectural decisions.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for a pivotal role in establishing the foundational architecture & data models for all our products and services. Design, develop, test, and maintain high quality software solutions using Microsoft technology stack. Lead architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring that the software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure. Develop and document architectural designs.Mentor and help our engineering team grow rapidly. Utilize your expertise in Microsoft technologies and proven track record of developing end-to-end products on the Azure platform. You Bring7+ years of experience in building a variety of end-to-end projects. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field. Certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or other relevant credentials. Superior written and verbal communication skills and project management capabilities.Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.Architectural Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman. Experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions, including integration with existing systems. Cloud Architectures: Deep understanding of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. Technology Assessment: Ability to evaluate and select appropriate technologies to meet business objectives. Data Modeling: Knowledge of data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and big data solutions. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Postgres and database design. Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular or React could be essential. Back-End Development: Strong expertise in back-end frameworks. Should be well versed in at least one of the following (Django, ASP.NET, Node.js, Laravel, Ruby on Rails, etc.). Understanding of RESTful API design. Source Control: Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. DevOps: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and other Azure services is beneficial. Cloud: Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and other cloud-based Microsoft solutions. Other Microsoft Tools: Experience with other Microsoft technologies like SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power BI will be advantageous. Why join ghSMART?

Compensation
We are built on a culture of freedom and flexibility. We operate fully remotely, and our team members balance a deeply energizing full time high intensity work environment with support for life outside of work through flexible schedules. Our compensation model reflects these values. You should reasonably expect a base salary of $150,000 - $195,000. In addition, we offer an annual competitive performance bonus of $30,000 - $50,000 and the opportunity to buy equity in our fully team owned firm.
