Your Impact:**

Resource Managers - Solar Services must be great communicators and able to understand and explain the impact and consequences of many rapidly changing project timelines. They spot project inefficiencies and work quickly and collaboratively to address them. They manage complex matrices of overlapping teams, deadlines, and skills. Confidence, enthusiasm, and decisiveness are key traits. This role reports to the Director of Solar Utility. **

Core Responsibilities:**

  • Regularly connects with Supervisors, Site Leads and Technicians.
  • Safety reviews with technicians.
  • Works with site leads to manage project workforce and personnel availability.
  • Works with division managers to update and schedule technicians work locations daily. Schedules technicians and coordinates with logistics and recruiters to fulfill staffing demands with current team members.
  • Supports new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Works with customer site managers to ensure that all tooling and equipment meets customer needs and qualifications.
  • Assists division managers with project mobilization checklists.
  • Supports employee needs, requests, and issues as they arise daily.
  • Responsible for managing employee time entry impacting budgeting on projects.
  • Responsible to understand and interact with Project Manager on project P&L

Revenue Growth:

  • Works in conjunction with the Business Development team to review scopes, prepare and respond to requests for proposals.
  • Tracks budgets and advise project leadership regarding needed adjustments
  • Assists with reviewing scope documents and manuals to determine accurate and profitable estimates for business development

Service Expectations:

  • Works with Logistics in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure that tooling, equipment, and uniform needs are met for specific site requirements
  • Develops, tracks, and adjusts timelines on client and internal projects
  • Partners with site leadership to ensure that weekly paperwork is turned in on time, and accurately
  • Writes and/or assists the project leadership in writing project briefs
  • Travels to sites to kick off new projects and perform QA/QC Inspections, as needed – Up to 40% of the time
  • Ensures that design and technical specifications are understood and followed by project teams
  • Manages project debrief schedules, prepares documentation, assists in conducting debrief meetings; catalog lessons learned

Personnel Decisions:

  • Understands the specialties, technical capabilities, and availability of internal team members, along with job scope requirements. Makes recommendations for project placement.
  • Keeps internal competency model up to date.
  • Understands business priorities and make recommendations for resourcing across competing project deadlines.
  • Updates personnel tracker in live time as personnel changes are made.

Financial Reporting:

  • Responsible for ensuring time and cost estimates are up to date, run reports, create, and maintain reporting dashboards.
  • Track budgets and advise project leadership regarding needed adjustments.

Core Experience

  • 10 years of progressive experience in the wind/solar industry
  • 3-5 years of experience in resource management in the renewable energy sector
  • Works collaboratively and assertively across teams
  • Strategic thinker – recognizes possible impacts of a decision on many projects
  • Strong organizational and project management skills: can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven history of revenue generation
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Extensive knowledge of the renewable energy industry and current industry best practices
  • Ability to be flexible and meet the changing needs of a dynamic growing company.

Physical/Work Environment

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.

  • Participates in All-Hands Safety Meetings, Lead Technician calls, and remote field employee conference calls.
  • Serves as PEARCE Renewables Safety Compliance Example in all Field Activities
  • Work with division managers and logistics to determine and schedule safety or technical certifications and training needing to be taken or renewed.
  • Support Safety Division when Near Misses and Incidents occur.
