Position Overview

As a Senior Backend Drupal Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing websites and web applications for our mission-driven clients. Join our collaborative and supportive team, where your contributions are valued, and together we work towards improving our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide other developers as the tech lead and senior architect for large, complex projects.
  • Architect complex Drupal solutions, including custom integrations with other systems and platforms.
  • Create beautiful and compelling websites for appreciative and mission-focused clients.
  • Collaborate as part of a project team that typically includes a technical project manager, developers, designers, and quality assurance specialists.
  • Participate in 3-5 meetings with colleagues per week.
  • Plan and create websites using Drupal 7, 9, and/or 10.
  • Maintain clear, concise documentation and ticket updates.

Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of experience in web development.
  • More than 10 years of experience with Drupal.
  • In-depth knowledge of Drupal architecture and Symfony, including modules, themes, hooks, the Drupal API, and the database layer.
  • 3+ years of experience with Drupal 9/10.
  • 5+ years of experience with Acquia.
  • Over 10 years of experience with PHP and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Acquia Certified Backend Specialist certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Git, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Pantheon is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive salary package includes:

  • Annual salary range of $120,000 – $150,000.
  • Health insurance coverage (95% employer-paid).
  • Dental insurance coverage (95% employer-paid).
  • Generous paid time off (15 days, increasing to 20 after four years).
  • Holiday time off (approximately 10 days per year).
