Your missions

Our client is a leading Thai travel agency that is opening a new branch in the Philippines.
We are seeking an experienced Contracting Manager to join this dynamic travel agency. As a Contracting Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships with hotels, airlines, attractions, and other travel service providers. Your primary responsibility will be negotiating contracts and securing favorable terms and conditions for our agency. You will work closely with our sales and product teams to ensure that we offer competitive pricing and a wide range of options to our clients.
Responsibilities:

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts for accommodations, transportation, attractions, and other travel services.
  • Review and analyze contractual terms, rates, and conditions to ensure they align with our agency's objectives and profitability targets.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, commission structures, and exclusive offers with suppliers to secure competitive advantages for our agency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with hotels, airlines, attractions, and other travel service providers.
  • Continuously assess supplier performance, quality, and customer satisfaction to ensure they meet our agency's standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and develop new products and offerings that align with market trends and customer demands.
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings and visits to foster strong partnerships and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Market Analysis and Research:

  • sStay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking exercises to evaluate supplier competitiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze market data and negotiate contracts based on market conditions, demand patterns, and customer preferences.
  • Monitor industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all contracts adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to understand customer needs and develop contracting strategies that align with our agency's sales objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to share contract updates, negotiate special offers, and address any operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracting Manager or in a similar role within the Philippines travel industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Philippines travel industry, including accommodations, transportation, attractions and related services.
  • Familiarity with market analysis techniques and the ability to apply them to contracting decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel for suppliers meeting all over the philipiines.
