Job Description:
As a SAP developer, integrating ClickPost into your system would involve the following steps:
Obtain API credentials: Contact ClickPost to obtain your API credentials, which will include an API key and a secret key. These credentials will be used to authenticate your requests to the ClickPost API.
Set up an HTTPS connection: ClickPost requires all requests to be made over HTTPS. You will need to ensure that your SAP system is capable of making HTTPS requests to the ClickPost API.
Write the integration code: You can use the ClickPost API documentation to determine the endpoints and request/response formats.
You can then write the code in ABAP or any other language supported by your SAP system to send requests to ClickPost and parse the responses.
Test the integration: Once the code is written, you will need to test the integration thoroughly to ensure that it is working correctly.
This may involve creating test orders, shipments, and tracking them through the ClickPost system to ensure that the data is being transmitted and received correctly.
Deploy the integration: Once the integration is tested and working correctly, you can deploy it to your production system.
Some specific tasks that you may need to perform as part of the integration process include:
Sending shipment orders to ClickPost.
Retrieving shipping rates from ClickPost.
Retrieving tracking information from ClickPost.
Managing customer addresses and contacts.
Managing carrier information and rates.
Overall, integrating ClickPost into your SAP system requires a solid understanding of both the SAP system and the ClickPost API.
You will need to have experience with ABAP programming and web services in order to successfully complete the integration.
