The Growth team at Whatnot is responsible for expanding our new user funnel across buyers and sellers to accelerate the rapid growth of our marketplace. We focus on the full funnel, developing opportunities to grow traffic across multiple channels while also creating delightful new user experiences to activate and retain buyers and sellers for the long term. In this role, we are looking for an experienced product individual contributor to lead our Growth Traffic function. This individual will build out exciting and gamified referral, incentive, and affiliate programs to continue to accelerate Whatnot’s rapid growth. Additionally, this person will work closely with our marketing and category expansion teams to create channel opportunities to acquire users in a variety of ways.
- Develop strategies to expand referral programs, incentives, and core user experiences to continue to drive top of funnel growth.
- Manage and expand Whatnot Affiliates as a new marketing channel.
- Drive the product roadmap, product strategy and roadmap execution.
- Define product requirements & work with engineering, design and broader team to bring our roadmap to market at lightning speed.
- Clearly communicate roadmap, progress, and insights to key teams and stakeholders.
- Do whatever it takes to ensure the engineering team is operating effectively, unblock them and make sure they can move at a rapid pace.
- Take ownership of any major blocker to the company’s success.
- Drive strategic initiatives across the company.

As our next Product Manager, you should have 7+ years of Product Management experience, plus:
- Experience working on growth focused initiatives such as incentivized referral programs, user acquisition and activation tactics.
- Startup experience.
- Comfort working exceptionally fast in an ambiguous work environment.
- Strong product intuition and design sense.
- Proven track record of using data, user feedback and intuition to drive sound product decisions with clarity around how to measure growth success.
- Able to ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful work.
- You know that product decisions don't end and begin with data and a/b tests.
For Full-Time (Salary) US-based applicants: $240,000/year to $275,000/year + benefits + stock options
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity in the form of stock options.
