Cerner Millennium CareNet Specialist

PCG is looking for a Cerner Millennium Care Net Specialist who has experience with comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system designed for healthcare organizations to manage and document patient care across various clinical settings.

Job Summary: As a Cerner Millennium Care Net Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, customization, maintenance, and support of the Cerner Millennium Care Net system within a healthcare organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the use of Care Net for efficient and high-quality patient care. 

Responsibilities: 

• Configure and customize the Cerner Millennium Care Net system to align with the specific needs and workflows of the healthcare organization. 
• Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations and workflows. 
• Provide technical expertise and support for the implementation and ongoing use of the Care Net system. 
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction. 
• Train and support healthcare professionals in the proper use of Care Net, including documentation, order entry, and clinical decision support. 
• Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements. 
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, workflows, training materials, and standard operating procedures. 
• Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security, taking proactive measures to identify and address any potential issues. 
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new features within the Cerner Millennium Care Net system. 
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and the implementation of new modules or functionality. 
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, data privacy policies, and security standards. 

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare information management, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Previous experience with implementing and supporting Cerner Millennium CareNet or other Cerner Millennium modules. 
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations. 
• Proficiency in system configuration and customization within Cerner Millennium CareNet. 
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide user training and support. 
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use. 
• Cerner Millennium Care Net certification (preferred).
