We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation Analyst/Consultant to join our healthcare organization. As a member of the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of the Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation module. You will collaborate with clinicians, nurses, coders, and IT professionals to optimize clinical documentation workflows, ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation, and support regulatory compliance using the Cerner Millennium system.


Responsibilities:

  • Configure and customize the Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation module to meet the specific needs of our healthcare organization, including documentation templates, workflows, clinical decision support, and coding requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, coders, and IT teams to assess and streamline clinical documentation workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, in the effective use of the Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation module.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the integrity and functionality of the Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation module.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation with other clinical and administrative systems, ensuring seamless information flow and interoperability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to clinical documentation and coding systems, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
  • Conduct training sessions and develop educational materials to promote user adoption and proficiency in using the Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation module.
  • Collaborate with clinical and IT stakeholders to assess system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for system-related issues and emergencies.
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of X years of experience working with Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation, including system configuration, support, and optimization.
  • Cerner Millennium Certification in Clinical Documentation or relevant modules is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and coding requirements in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Cerner Millennium Clinical Documentation to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clinicians, nurses, coders, and IT professionals.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex clinical documentation workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to clinical documentation and coding (e.g., HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
