Your missions

Description

 

PCG is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cerner Millennium Message Center Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the messaging infrastructure within the Cerner Millennium healthcare information system. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the secure and efficient exchange of messages between healthcare providers, clinicians, and support staff. 

As a Cerner Millennium Message Center Specialist, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including system administrators, developers, and end-users, to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the messaging components of the Cerner Millennium system. Your expertise in Cerner Millennium and your strong communication skills will be essential in providing excellent technical support and ensuring the reliable transmission of critical healthcare information. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Configure and maintain the messaging infrastructure within the Cerner Millennium system, including message routing, delivery rules, and security settings. 
  • Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration between the messaging components and other modules of the Cerner Millennium system. 
  • Monitor message queues, troubleshoot any issues, and implement necessary fixes to ensure timely and accurate message delivery. 
  • Provide technical support to end-users, including clinicians, nurses, and support staff, regarding message exchange and related functionalities. 
  • Collaborate with developers to customize messaging workflows, templates, and interfaces based on the specific needs of healthcare providers. 
  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive patient data transmitted through the messaging system. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and user guides, for the messaging infrastructure. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in healthcare messaging technology to propose and implement system enhancements. 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Previous experience working with the Cerner Millennium system, specifically with the messaging components, is highly desirable. 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare messaging standards, such as HL7, IHE, and DICOM. 
  • Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting messaging systems and protocols, including SMTP, S/MIME, and XDS. 
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows and terminology, with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
