Your missions

Description

 

PCG is looking for a Cerner Millennium PathNet Specialist. As a Cerner Millennium PathNet Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, customization, maintenance, and support of the Cerner Millennium PathNet system within a healthcare organization's laboratory department. You will collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, and project managers to optimize the use of PathNet for efficient and accurate laboratory operations. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Configure and customize the Cerner Millennium PathNet system to align with the specific needs and workflows of the laboratory department. 
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations and workflows. 
  • Provide technical expertise and support for the implementation and ongoing use of the PathNet system. 
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction. 
  • Train and support laboratory personnel on the proper use of PathNet, including specimen tracking, test ordering, result entry, and reporting. 
  • Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, workflows, training materials, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security, taking proactive measures to identify and address any potential issues. 
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new features within the Cerner Millennium PathNet system. 
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and the implementation of new modules or functionality. 
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, data privacy policies, and security standards relevant to laboratory operations. 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare information management, medical laboratory science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Previous experience with implementing and supporting Cerner Millennium PathNet or other laboratory information systems. 
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations, specimen management, and clinical workflows. 
  • Proficiency in system configuration and customization within Cerner Millennium PathNet. 
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide user training and support. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment. 
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as CLIA, HIPAA, and laboratory accreditation requirements. 
  • Cerner Millennium PathNet certification (preferred).
