Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a keen interest in optimization and automation across various platforms and applications. The role involves enhancing deployment and build processes, bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, and working with modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Heroku, Ansible, and Terraform.

Requirements

Experience with large, demonstrable projects, preferably built on AWS.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, and Python.
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of setting up Continuous Deployment pipelines.
Proficiency with Agile software development and DevOps practices.
Ability to collaborate closely with development teams to understand customer needs and translate them into functional code and infrastructure.
Proficiency with AWS services including S3, VPCs & Networking, EC2, ECS/EKS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Eagerness to learn and explore new technologies.
Self-motivated with a willingness to share knowledge and actively participate in the community.
Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Reliable high-speed internet access.
