Scrum Master

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

> Coordinate software build, testing, and release activities, resources, and information for 1-2

scrum teams

> Communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, scope, and objectives and work

with product owners to define common acceptance criteria for user stories, features, and

epics

> Identify and remove obstacles for the scrum team or guide the team on removing their own

obstacles by finding the right person to remove the obstacle

> Build a scrum team with a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised

effectively, with an emphasis on collaboration and problem-solving

> Communicate release schedules and provide release notes to product teams and the

business, as required

> Identify and manage changes to project scope, identify potential issues, and devise

contingency plans

> Act as the scrum master in the agile development team, providing product vision, leading

sprint meetings, and making critical business decisions throughout the development

process

> Guide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the agile and scrum

frameworks

> Provide training on new features pre-and post-release

> Provide recommendations, status reports, and release metrics to the delivery manager,

product teams, and leadership team
