The Role:



Signal and Power Integrity Engineers research, design, develop, and test military electronic equipment for use in systems of high assurance and high consequence for land, sea, airborne, and space applications. This includes mission computers, display processing computers, stores management systems, and radar processing systems. You’ll work with other talented engineers as you invent the technologies that help our service members, intelligence analysts, and first responders keep our nation safe.
 
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES and TASKS
As a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer,
• You will be involved in the early stages of hardware planning and development including component selection, feasibility studies, packaging approaches, etc.
• You will collaborate with suppliers and other engineers to develop Printed Wiring Board (PWB)/Printed Circuit Board (PCB) stack-ups and set routing strategy for high density interconnect (HDI) designs.
• You will define Power Delivery Network (PDN) requirements, set constraints for PWB/PCB layout, review the layout, and be involved in lab validation and correlation with simulation.
• You will ensure the design performs under the toughest of environments through pre- and post- layout simulations.
• You will work with a team of electrical, mechanical, and other engineers to provide design guidance for high-speed designs ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and electrical compatibility requirement compliance.



Requirements
Ideal candidates demonstrate a passion for innovation, a strong sense of ownership, a sophisticated understanding of electronic equipment and systems, and the desire to further advance our technology. Further, the ideal candidate has experience with designs using interfaces including DDR4, PCIe, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and other high-speed interconnects.

The ideal candidate also has experience using HyperLynx SI/PI, HyperLynx 3D, Ansys SI Wave, or similar tools to verify designs. A thorough understanding and application of signal and power integrity principles and electronic packaging is critical to ensure success of highly sophisticated electronic systems with ever increasing signal speeds and performance requirements that our esteemed customers need to keep our nation safe.  


Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
 
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
