For an International Institution in Geneva, we are urgently looking for a Full remote Cognitive Search Engineer with +2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cognitive search solutions that leverage natural language processing and machine learning techniques. The Cognitive Search Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and build search-based applications that deliver superior search experiences and drive business outcomes.
Candidates need to be fluent in English. This positions is long-term. Candidates need to be based in Europe. Work permit is not provided.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and implement cognitive search solutions that leverage natural language processing and machine learning techniques;
Work with cross-functional teams to design and build search-based applications and bots that deliver superior search experiences and drive business outcomes;
Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve search relevance, ranking, and user experience;
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and software engineers to understand the data and its relationships to integrate cognitive search solutions with existing systems, bots and processes;
Build, enhance with cognitive skills and maintain data pipelines to support search indexing and retrieval;
Monitor search performance and identify opportunities to optimize search quality and user experience;
Develop and implement best practices for cognitive search development, deployment, and maintenance;
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in cognitive search and machine learning;
Profile:
Bachelor or Master degree;
+2 years of experience in cognitive search development and implementation;
Strong proficiency in natural language processing and machine learning techniques;
Experience with search platforms. (preferable Azure Cognitive Search);
Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript;
Experience with cloud computing platforms. (Preferable Azure);
Solid understanding of semantic search, embeddings and vector databases;
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
Fluent in English;
