Equitable is looking a Group Retirement Divisional Vice President (DVP) to join our team and support the Eastern Territory. The DVP typically oversees and manages retirement savings programs offered by organizations across both governmental and private sector 401(k), 457(b) and 403(b). The Eastern Territory includes: AL, MS, GA, FL, PR, NC, SC, TN, AR, MO, VA, WV, DE, MD, DC, NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT and ME.
The DVP will report directly to the Head of Group Retirement Sales & Distribution. This is a Senior Leadership position responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals focused on acquiring group clients and driving sales growth for defined contribution retirement plans across all channels and markets. The DVP role requires a deep understanding of the retirement plan industry, strong leadership and sales management skills. **
Key Job Responsibilities**
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for group retirement plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers and sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new group clients, including public school districts, corporations, government entities, and other organizations interested in retirement savings plans.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services through our distribution partners.
- Product Knowledge: Stay well-informed about the organizations defined contribution plans and related products to effectively communicate their benefits to clients and advisors.
- Market Research: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition across all target markets.
- Sales Presentation: Personally handle high-profile client interactions, delivering persuasive sales presentations and proposals that address specific client needs and highlight the value of the defined contribution plans.
- Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities adhere to relevant legal regulatory requirements.
The base salary for this position is $160,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience
- 10+ years of work experience in the retirement financial services or related industry
- FINRA Registrations: SIE, Series 6 or 7; Series 63 or 66; and Series 24 or 26
- State Life and Health Insurance licenses

Sales Training: Knowledge of sales training methodologies; ability to ensure that sales and sales management employees have the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic sales objectives.
Territory Management: Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).
