DutiesAs a Public Health Advisor, you will: - Serve as a principal representative responsible for coordinated controversial, unconventional, or novel public health related matters between and among Federal, local, state, and international agencies addressing public health issues. - Identify public health product problems and issues as they relate to unsafe or ineffective use by lay users or health professionals. - Provide high level advisory services to agencies and organizations in developing, extending, and/or improving health care systems, public health strategies, communications and services. - Analyze existing or proposed activities. - Identify needs for improvement and methods and resources required to accomplish improvements.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-9 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level, which must include the following experience providing consultative services related to the planning, development, and implementation of public health programs in federal, local, state, and/or international settings.OrI have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related in public health or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled.OrHave a combination of experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
