In this position…

The Ford Pro Research & Insights team is looking for a seasoned and talented researcher to lead our B2B research efforts in North America. This position will report into the Manager, Research & Insights and work alongside a counterpart in Europe. The Research Lead will immerse themselves in the Commercial Vehicle / Fleet industry to deeply understand the various customer types, their needs and pain points, while keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape. The role will be tasked with not just executing research around Commercial Vehicles, but each of Ford Pro's 4 non-vehicle product pillars: Service, Financing, Charging, and Software. Quickly getting up to speed on all things Ford Pro and establishing relationships across the business unit will be critical to the success of the individual and the team at large. **

Responsibilities**

What you'll do…

  • Lead quantitative and qualitative research studies (DIY, full service & hybrid) end-to-end across Ford Pro product verticals
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to better understand their needs, ensuring insights provided are actionable and relevant to their domain.
  • Socialize insights to business partners via various methods including presentations, workshops, and customer knowledge sites.
  • Manage research supplier staff during research engagements to ensure project quality, design and analytics are aligned with business objectives and company standards.
  • Hands-on exploration of data, including supporting primary and secondary research to understand purchaser and user behavior across the customer journey.
  • Use data to influence go-to-market and product development strategies. Support initiatives and communicate findings that goes beyond the numbers to facilitate decisions.
  • Be willing to try and fail, run rapid/iterative research, constantly explore new methods and ways of working to identify efficiencies and expand the team's expertise.
  • Leverage analytical mindset to contribute to other strategic initiatives such as CX and Marketing Measurement, Competitive Benchmarking, and Market Trends Identification.
  • Coordinate with European peer to ensure insight generation and customer viewpoint spans our global business.

Qualifications

You'll have…

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Psychology or Science or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of marketing research experience in a business environment including:
  • Working knowledge of market research principals -- sampling, methods, analysis
  • Research Experience – qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Strong project leadership and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an ability to translate and communicate analytical research findings into actionable insights.
  • Ability to formulate business problems into an appropriate research framework, interpret the analytic results, and translate the complex quantitative methods and results into easily understood products for all levels of business customers.
  • Ability to drive results and handle multiple projects within a given timeframe
  • Demonstrated track record of project development, management, and implementation
  • Ability to integrate data and findings from other areas and present a holistic view of a position.
  • Strong interpersonal, teambuilding, and negotiating skills with a can-do attitude and an ability to work well with internal Ford clients, Agency, and Research Supplier partners.

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience on both Supplier and Client side of research industry
  • Experience working with commercial vehicles and fleet solutions.
  • Experience working in CX/VoC Surveys (i.e., Medallia, InMoment)
  • Experience with Marketing Analytics and Measurement
  • Well-organized, independent, and ready to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask, handling multiple assignments at the same time.
  • Ability to anticipate, quickly address and make correct decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
