BCS has an immediate opening for a SharePoint Developer to join our growing team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). The SharePoint Developer will support various federal and BCS stakeholders. This position requires taking initiative and a willingness to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment directly with the Federal client and other team members. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with senior-level clients and staff are necessary.
The SharePoint Developer will carry out job responsibilities without considerable direction, within a framework of standard policies and procedures, and prioritize work to meet established deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a high-pressure office. Nurture a team environment with other BCS/DOE staff and maintain excellent relations with administrators in other offices. Serve as a resource to a variety of projects and programs.
Responsibilities - Research, provide consultation, and design SharePoint solutions and establish best practices to meet customer requirements. - Design, develop, and test custom SharePoint applications using Power Apps, the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), ReactJS, and other supporting technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs). - Create, deploy, maintain, test, and support Power Automate Flows, SharePoint Designer, and Nintex workflows. - Create, deploy, test, and maintain custom SharePoint pages using the standard SharePoint User Interface or SharePoint Designer. - Coordinate with multiple project teams to receive and catalog artifacts. Create and maintain templates, guides, Standard Operating Procedures, forms, and flow charts. - Research, troubleshoot, and fix SharePoint site issues. - Manage user privileges for SharePoint and/or SPO sites. - Perform site administration tasks.
Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar field - US citizenship required. - At least 3 years of work experience in SharePoint Development (including customized code, and creating/modifying web parts, creating/modifying SharePoint workflows). - Proficient in SharePoint online and SharePoint 2016. Experience in creating custom team sites, lists, libraries, and a variety of web apps and templates - Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, and HTML/CSS. - Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development and SharePoint REST APIs. - Visualization Skills, UI/UX, and PowerBI and Dashboard experience are a plus. - Strong understanding of federal government security standards and compliance requirements. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues. - Familiar with the energy or government sector (preferred)
