Job Description Summary
Responsible for scheduling and overseeing resources, material movement, and production crews for university events. Work closely with other members of Broadcast to facilitate competent crews of both student and professional workers. Plan and execute movement of broadcast gear, such as cameras, when necessary. Compile technical documentation before events. Oversee and assign tasks to crew members at assigned events. As time allows, will fulfill crew roles in the control room or the field. **
Essential Functions And Responsibilities**
- Maintain and organize crew, food, equipment, and miscellaneous costs for assigned events.
- Secure broadcast equipment in proper storage and regulate usage for proper upkeep and maintenance.
- Liaise between production and engineering teams in pre- and post-production scenarios.
- Ensure effective completion of all events in a timely and efficient fashion.
- Send crew lists and logistical information to both student and professional freelancers.
- Order and coordinate pickup of food and water for events.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute movement of cameras and other broadcast equipment.
- Maintain database of crew and event records in LBXC app.
- Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Credentials**
- Minimum two years’ experience in professional and/or academic production work.
- Extensive working knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production practices.
- Working technical knowledge of operations procedures and systems.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with conflicting, delayed, ambiguous, or last-minute information.
- Ability to clearly define issues and quickly generate solutions.
- Ability to interact with and manage students.
- Self-motivated.
- Proficient in broadcast technology.
Education And Experience
Four-year college degree, with a concentration in communications. 2+ years in a related field. **

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is frequently changing. Functions of this position’s responsibility often require one to work after normal business hours, and in some situations for prolonged shifts. Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting and other projects regularly are outdoors, in some situations rain must be accommodated. Work from home may be encouraged or required at times.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
