About The Position
We are currently seeking an inspiring, people-centric, passionate leader to take Citeline’s Clinical Strategy & Planning consulting Practice Area to the next level. This senior leadership role will specialize in providing strategic, operational, and clinical guidance to our clients, spanning from large pharmaceutical manufacturers and emerging biotechs, to consulting and advisory firms, and other supply-to-pharma entities.
This role requires a combination of business acumen, clinical expertise, and leadership skills to effectively manage and grow the Clinical Strategy & Planning consulting Practice Area.
Our core clinical capabilities include clinical strategy, site selection, patient recruitment, clinical planning (investigator identification & diversity offerings) and protocol optimization. The leader will come to Norstella having demonstrated success in driving clinical consulting projects across the pharma industry in excess of $10M annually. The Managing Partner, Clinical Strategy & Planning will launch this practice and work to build a consulting team that includes various experts required to grow revenue across these domains. This position offers candidates the opportunity to dramatically scale a consulting Practice Area inside one of the largest life sciences data and technology organizations. Norstella is a $5B+ global organization with over 3,000 clients, supported by expertise from premiere private equity firms including Warburg Pincus and WCAS.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Team Building:
Develop and execute a strategic vision for the clinical consulting practice, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
Build, lead, and inspire a team of clinical consultants dedicated to delivering exceptional services and solutions.
Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential areas of growth.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality consulting services.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and solutions to complex clinical and operational challenges.
Business Development and Growth:
Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the industry.
Collaborate with the business development team to establish and expand client relationships and partnerships.
Project Delivery:
Oversee the execution of consulting projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Provide guidance and expertise on clinical and healthcare-related matters to support project success.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that all consulting services are delivered in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare management, business administration, or a clinical discipline). An advanced degree (e.g., MD or PhD) is strongly preferred.
Proven track record of high performance in a client facing role within the life sciences industry with a focus on clinical consulting and revenue generation of at least $10M annually
Leadership and team management experience.
Demonstrated ability to uncover opportunities for clinical consulting and create repeatable packages.
Working knowledge of advanced consulting methodologies, tools, and familiarity with commonly analyzed healthcare datasets such as pharmacy and medical claims, laboratory results, payer data, drug/pipeline, and indication data.
Stellar communication and relationship management skills that foster trust and lasting client partnerships with the ability to demonstrate empathy and confidence in interactions with clients.
Collaborative team player who is driven to win as part of a team and capable of managing fast paced activities while remaining optimistic.
Data driven communicator and ability to synthesize issues quickly and with confidence

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $300,000 plus commissions. It is not typical to be offered at the top of the budget. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
