Knichel Logistics is growing its Sales Team! We are in search of an experienced individual looking to grow their network of client relationships in the space of Third-Party Logistics!

The primary function of the National Account Executive position is to generate business revenue while supporting the company’s financial and strategic objectives. Primary functions include generating and maintaining a sales pipeline, completing all required activities along with timely documentation where applicable, negotiating deals, building and cultivating relationships and providing excellent service and customer satisfaction.

We are a fast growing, woman-owned and operated, non-asset-based 3rd Party Logistics Provider headquartered in Gibsonia, PA.

The primary function of the National Account Executive role is to monitor truckload markets to competitively price and secure both spot and long-term awards. Additionally, the Truckload Pricing Analyst will work to secure long-term or special project OTR capacity to transport the shipments of Knichel Logistics' customers in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

EDUCATIONRequired: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred: College degree and/or coursework related to Logistics, Business Management, Information Technology, or similar.LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONRequired: NonePreferred: Any professional certification related to Logistics, Business Management, sales & marketing, or similar.EXPERIENCERequired: 5 years' experience in the Transportation industry in a Sales or Sales-related rolePreferred: Multiple years' in an Inside Sales role in the Transportation industry

WHAT YOU WILL DO - The National Account Executive has responsibility for generating a book of business while building and cultivating relationships with customers that will lead to sustainable business growth. - Frequent contact to consist of daily calls and emails and customer visits to support the Sales Account Executives sales pipeline to consist of leads, prospects, new opportunities, and ultimately winning business. - The successful and timely completion of all “cookbook” activities and behaviors as directed by the Sales Director. - Submit pricing and negotiate deals with potential and current customers. - Take charge of any customer issues and follow through to the point of resolution. - Responsible for creating internal standard operating procedures for their customers and serve as a customer advocate to ensure all appropriate internal departments and personnel understand those procedures and rules of engagement. - Work with the appropriate internal departments and personnel to communicate any issues and shipment exceptions to the customer while leveraging the appropriate internal resources to ensure any issue or exception is handled appropriately and timely. - Will be responsible for effectively communicating to various internal departments and personnel to ensure all efforts are aligned to best support continued sustainable growth of the Sales Account Executive’s book of business. - Obtain significant knowledge of the company’s services and modes of transportation. - Responsible for providing to the Sales Director, as directed, a detailed pipeline report. - All other duties and tasks as may be necessary to achieve company goals and objectives or as may be directed from time to time by the Sales Director. -

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to consist of high phone call and email volume - Ability to quickly learn and utilize various operating systems and other technologies such as Knichel Logistics’ operating system and CRM (customer relationship management) - Extreme multitasking ability and priority management - Attention to detail and confident decision-making skills - Strong communication and customer service skills - Exudes a tenacious, competitive and, committed attitude - Enthusiasm and high energy - Ability to work with-in and succeed in a team environment - Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others - Conflict resolution skills. - Proficient in the use and application of information technology to enhance productivity and facilitate operations management. This includes computer-based productivity software (i.e. MS Word and Excel).
