Supply Chain Assistant at Howmet Aerospace

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

The Supply Chain Assistant position will provide support to the Supply Chain Manager with day-to-day transactions and documentation of supply chain operations. **

Role and Responsibilities:**

• Performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the SCM department and other departments to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
• Responsible for creating production orders, addendum tickets and splits and reworks.
• Engage necessary internal resources to resolve production order issues when they arise.
• Responsible for preparing and sending test samples to the lab.
• Assists procurement with creation of purchase orders.
• Collaborate and contribute to supply chain continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• SAP experience
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills (written, verbal and non- verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Must work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
