Responsibilities**

Job Summary:

As Web Development Manager, you will be responsible for our digital product's overall technical direction, including planning, estimation, architecture, production, quality, deployment, product launch, and maintenance. In addition, this position is in charge of multiple scrum teams that support our websites, internal tools, and lab software. The Director of Web Engineering is also responsible for budgeting and resourcing. In this position, you will also be the connector between technology and other cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Strategy, Creative, Analytics, Social, Media, Sales, Business Intelligence, Business Applications, and others. **

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:**

  • The strategic vision of digital properties.
  • Engineering manager: define team goals, mentoring.
  • Budgeting and resourcing, including recruiting and hiring.
  • Technical oversight, technical evaluation, and decision-maker.
  • Technical Product Owner, technical product roadmaps, high-level timelines. Support on prioritization and release management.
  • Process improvement.
  • Audit and monitor all properties to ensure quality, uptime, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitator for cross-team integration communications (Salesforce, MSDynamics, etc.)
  • Be an active member of a scrum team when necessary: managing JIRA, creating documentation, designing technical solutions, supporting troubleshooting, doing code reviews, management releases, and communicating to stakeholders.
  • Interface and collaborate with the IT team for infrastructure.
  • Ownership of software: managing accounts of CMS, Logging Platform, AWS, or any other software used by the Web Engineering team.

Travel:

This position is available remotely, with occasional travel to the Los Angeles, CA or Trumbull, CT or other remote possibly international locations up to 10% of the year. **

  • SaaS Experience

  • Experience with Customer-facing eCommerce web applications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $140,000- $170,000. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
