Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall coordination, planning, and execution of projects in the organization
Should lead the PMO team in establishing, maintaining, and improving project management processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure successful project delivery
Shall work closely with the project managers and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the desired quality
The PM/PMO plays a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered successfully, and the organization's project management processes and practices are continuously improved
Should have a strong project management background, leadership skills, and a passion for driving change and innovation
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve project management processes, methodologies, and tools
Define and implement project management policies, standards, and guidelines
Develop and maintain project management templates and documentation
Provide project management training, coaching, and mentoring to project managers and stakeholders
Define project management roles and responsibilities and ensure that they are clearly communicated and understood
Facilitate project planning, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution
Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the desired quality
Develop and maintain project management metrics and dashboards
Identify and escalate project management issues and risks to senior management
Ensure that project management best practices are shared and adopted across the organization
Lead the PMO team in achieving its goals and objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in project management
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira), and techniques
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
Big plus if you have good experience in Defining and maintaining application/architecture strategies and standards to leverage best practices in analyzing mainframe applications, mainframe programming, user interfaces and services
Big plus if you have experience in Mainframe Modernization Project
