This position is a fixed term contract position for 11 months.**
What will you be doing?
The Consultant, Client Service role is a client-facing position within CIRCANA Canada. The primary objective of the role is to deliver exceptional client service support for CIRCANA collaborative gateway services that engage CPG manufacturer clients with their retailer partners to drive mutual growth. Individuals in this role manage various levels of manufacturer clients through creation and maintenance of strong relationships, effective communication, thought leadership and subject matter expertise on CIRCANA systems and data services. A key component is to provide clear, deep perceptions and recommendations regarding decisions, situations, and business benefits. **
Job Responsibilities**
Client Leadership
- Demonstrate strong ability to build trusted, long term relationships with supplier clients at Key Account through to Director level
- Provide thought leadership, based on strong industry knowledge, to influence decision makers to utilize and endorse CIRCANA services within their organizations
- Clearly communicate, verbally and/or in writing, essential CIRCANA service details, costs and process information so that client stakeholders understand capabilities and benefits
- Effectively probe to understand client business objectives, issues and success measures to deliver timely, value added services and support to drive client growth
- Ability to navigate through complex client and/or CIRCANA issues, identify root cause and resolve in collaboration with the Principal
- In difficult situations, empathize with the supplier client and find a profitable win-win solution that promotes the CIRCANA Canada culture of being “easy to do business with”
- Maintain an ability to keep manufacturer and retailer perspectives in mind at all times; able to think through multiple divergent paths and understand the implications on the client and CIRCANA
- Continue to raise the bar with clients through high end analytics to move from a data provider to a strategic partner
Financial Management
- At minimum maintain assigned revenue and pro-actively identify new opportunities to expand revenue
- Expertise in the CIRCANA retailer Collaborative Gateway, Flat File and other service rate cards and policies
- Established subject matter expertise on CIRCANA Canada’s services to propose and close new sales opportunities.
- Contribute to negotiation preparation for new service agreements with existing clients
- Understand client financial dynamics and help clients identify value opportunities
- Manage expenses according to the needs of the business
- Ability to create accurate Client Agreements and understand legal language to support client and CIRCANA needs
Innovation
- Contribute to the development and creation of new or enhanced methods, products and/or services; approach job function with original and progressive thinking in order to improve processes, methods, systems, and services:
- Use supplier client feedback to evolve CIRCANA’s understanding of the role we can play in developing the collaborative partnership with CPG suppliers. Provide recommendations to leadership and once approved execute upon including business and project plans
- Insight into creation of products and services based on client feedback or situation/opportunity
- Collaborate with leadership to seek ongoing opportunities to improve internal policies and processes along with identifying training and education opportunities
Requirements
To support the essential roles and responsibilities outlined above, the ideal candidate must possess the following experience and skills:
- 4-8 years of work experience, preferably in the CPG industry
- Strong project management and process skills
- Ability to build and leverage mutually beneficial relationships
- Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Presentation Skills
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred
