This role will drive high-level strategy as well as tactical execution of content and messaging in the membership space. The candidate needs to be an organized, good at seeing the high-level opportunities across spaces, communicating the content strategy, dedicated to building relationships, and implementing strategies. This role collaborates with experience designers and product managers. **

As a Senior Content Designer in Product Experience Design (XD), you’ll partner with teams of Designers, Researchers, Product Managers and Engineers to create compelling experiences.

Your role in this highly-collaborative environment is pivotal in shaping the clients customer experiences, establishing how our brand voice comes to life, defining human-centric content strategies, and continuously advocating for improved experiences.

Responsibilities:**

  • Partner with Experience Designers, Product Managers, Engineering leads, and business stakeholders to create solutions that align customer and business needs.
  • Foster and participate in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide insight into our current capabilities and functionality across all digital channels and other customer touchpoints.
  • Drive a strategic content vision that echoes throughout the customer journey.
  • Leverage customer research, data and insights to support assertions, make recommendations and drive strategy.
  • Create clear, concise, and compelling content that makes it easy for our customers to accomplish their tasks.
  • Deliver artifacts that support work efforts as well as ensure standard design practices and consistent experiences.
  • Advance our practice by contributing to the content style guide and design system, driving adoption of content standards within and outside of XD.
  • Promote the practice of Content Design and be ready to show its value at every turn.
  • Present high-level solutions and strategies to product and/or project stakeholders, Engineering leadership and Experience Design leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current case studies that demonstrate through storytelling the ability to solve customer problems and create Content Design deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in human-centered design, product design, human computer interaction, information architecture, English, communication, writing, marketing, journalism, instructional design, related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer or Experience Designer specializing in writing, or 6+ years in a related role
  • Knowledge of Experience Design principles and deliverables
  • Ability to work through complex design solutions and understand underlying technology
  • Advanced ability to communicate writing and design concepts effectively, build consensus and justify decisions
  • Strong interpersonal communications, organizational savvy, time management and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be curious, collaborative, self-driven, self-aware, outgoing, and relationship-focused
  • 2+ years of experience working in e-commerce or other large design environment
  • Experience envisioning, defining and modeling end-to-end, multichannel experiences
  • Skilled in balancing an Agile work environment / iterative product development with a cohesive and holistic view of the customer journey
  • Basic understanding of designing for WCAG 2.1/508 accessibility standards
