Your missions

Summary

RPA Sr. Developer is responsible for design, build, testing, and implementation of robotics process automation (RPA) solutions including RPA Platform maintenance and administration. Impacts efficiency and effectiveness of business processes throughout the institution and within UT System. The sr. developer works with RPA Architect, Developers, Monitoring team, Process Analysts, IT, and other UT System institutions' teams by writing the code into the Blue Prism software. They are involved in the support and maintenance which includes but not limited to modifying for enhancements, troubleshooting, identifying and fixing errors. **

Key Functions**

  • Design, Develop, and Configure RPA Process automation solutions that are well-structured, efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Implement processes and flows requiring Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
  • Lead projects and the development team to ensure timely delivery meeting high-quality standards.
  • Handle multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Identify and develop reusable custom objects and flows for RPA automations.
  • Lead project code review sessions and participate in peer reviews of solution designs.
  • Support and monitor existing automations, remediate production issues, and implement change requests as part of a structured change control process.
  • Participate in regular RPA Platform maintenance and upgrade activities, including configuring Servers, Interactive Clients, Runtime Resources, and system roles.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation.
  • Accurately analyze and estimate new processes, quickly assess feasibility.
  • Analyze, understand, and document business processes in detail where required.
  • Identify and communicate technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Work within project planning constraints, communicate identified project risks and issues to the project manager, and provide inputs to the change control process.
  • Create and document test procedures and scenarios for pre-UAT phases.
  • Support Operational Teams during hyper-care and rollout phases.
  • Support production deployment processes and performance testing.
  • Support skills transfer by mentoring newly trained resources on best practices and development techniques.
  • Communicate with product vendors on software-related issues, suggest improvements, and participate in communities.

Required: Bachelor's degree

Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or software Engineering **

Experience**

Required Experience:

Five years in software development and analysis, to include 2 years of RPA software programming experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. **

Preferred Experience/Skills**

Hands on RPA development experience (3+ years) using blue prism platform, good understanding of RPA automation lifecycle, system/server admin experience, experience installing/upgrading blue prism platform at enterprise level, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) experience, lead software developer/engineer with Microsoft development background, experience leading projects/teams, strong communication skills, experience working directly with end users.
