Job Description**

The Product Line Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Line Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Product Line Managers are responsible for overseeing all activities within a product line. Product Line Managers work in the Operations department in areas of Curriculum Development, Training, and MPT Analysis. Product Line Managers work closely with Project Leads and the PMO department to make sure all projects are on track according to contract specifications. **

Position Description**

  • Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap;
  • Develop, implement, maintain training schedules;
  • Act as a liaison between the Information Systems Manager (ISSM) and the Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to include but not limited to:
    • Cybersecurity
    • Monitoring Information Security
    • Codifying System Authorization Reciprocity
    • Risk Management and Risk Management Methodology
  • Oversee operational and Risk Management Framework (RMF) schedules;
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Product Line Manager to order parts, schedule maintenance, and required repairs for the High Velocity Learning Environment (HVLE) Units;
  • Coordinate with various vendors and external contractors for replacement crew training;
  • Analyze personnel changes within the crew (including planned detachments, unplanned losses, and planned reliefs) to assess the impact on and timing of training needs;
  • Determine enroute training requirements for prospective crew members;
  • Research, plan, analyze and evaluate data, prepare recommendations, and adjudicate changes in support of training projections;
  • Manage the setup and breakdown training systems, equipment, and facilities as required;
  • Manage the execution of required Preventive Maintenance and authorized Corrective Maintenance;
  • Conduct analysis of training requirements to determine impacts to budgets;
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive written reports and presentations;
  • Able?to work in varying temperatures, depending upon seasons. Performs duties both indoors and outdoors;
  • Work with Deputy Product Line Managers/Project Leads to delegate project tasks based on staff members strengths, skill sets and experience levels;
  • Track product line performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals;
  • Select and hire employees;
  • Effectively addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions;
  • Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees;
  • Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills;
  • Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials;
  • Train and evaluate employees to enhance their performance;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Employment Status

Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Non-exempt. **

Qualifications**

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred;
  • 8+ years of U.S. Navy experience; five years in a supervisory position;
  • Ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise reports in approved formats;
  • Ability to work independently, supervise others as required, and manage, monitor, integrate projects;
  • Ability to effectively communicate directly with clients, suppliers, Active Duty and Government Service employees, other company employees and program team members;
  • Technical background, with experience in Manpower, Personnel, and Training documents;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to evaluate problems and recommend solutions;
  • 3+ years of experience using Fleet Training Management and Planning System;
  • 3+ years developing or reviewing Navy Training System Plans;
  • Knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 3500.20(series) preferred;
  • Completion of a tour of duty at COMNAVAIRPAC or COMNAVAIRLANT preferred;
  • U.S. Citizenship required;
  • Ability to obtain “Secret” level security clearanc e.
