In this position...**
The Senior Manager of Business Strategy will join the Agile Business Team, a team that also has rich expertise in product, design, and research, within the Model e CX organization. In this role, the Business Strategist will apply rigorous analytical thinking and a sharp ROI lens to help our team shape the products and experiences that we bring to customers.
The role supports our Model e business across the entire CX spectrum: from the shop-buy process, to the ownership experience, to charging (both at home and away from home). **
Responsibilities**
What you'll do...
- Work alongside Ford leadership and your team to establish a transformative vision, and be relentless in delivering products, services, and experiences that our customers can’t live without
- Apply rigorous analytical thinking and an ROI lens to help us shape and prioritize among our portfolio of products and experiences we are delivering, and to ensure that we are building experiences that will win against the competition and deliver value to customers and to Ford, now and in the future
- Do this work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams—across Design, Engineering, Business, and Operations teams, both inside and outside of Model e
- Guide prioritization, planning, and execution of workstreams and ensure alignment across functions
- Make data-driven decisions through rapid iteration, experiments in market, and learning through feedback from real customers
- Communicate highly complex concepts and plans to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, and evangelize the strategy to executive leadership
- Build strong relationships across a variety of functions to establish trust, make decisions, and drive action
- Deliver clearly articulated strategic vision and value propositions, in elegant spreadsheets, text documents, and simple presentations
- Cultivate business acumen in more junior teammates, and teach them how to perform these analyses as well—to build the team’s skillset
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a Law Degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a high-achieving and competitive corporate environment preferably within a large enterprise, investment bank, consulting company or similar.
- 5 + years of experience building business cases utilizing data, strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous problems into elegant solutions. This experience should also demonstrate a mixture of the following skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively at all levels from executive leadership to customers, across geographies and cultures.
- Grit, determination, and resiliency to challenge the status quo, and motivate team members and leadership to break through compromises and make bold decisions.
- Strong “EQ,” an interest in working with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- A teacher’s mindset, grace in working with team members, and a sense of humor. The ability to disarm teammates and make them feel at ease.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, establishing goals and crafting a plan in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Even better, you'll have...
- MBA, Law Degree, PhD or similar advanced education.
- Experience directly managing teams, especially with distributed teams.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking principles.
- Experience working at a top consulting company or investment bank.
- Experience designing and building digital products and bringing them to market.

This job is offered as remote, but it will require regular travel to Southeast Michigan nticipated to be Tuesday- Thursday, once a month.
