The Sales Career Model is dedicated to the distribution of the innovative line of life insurance and variable annuity products issued by Equitable to professional financial intermediaries such as broker general agents (BGAs), broker-dealers, banks, independent financial planners, as well as Equitable Advisors, the company's retail distribution organization. The sales team is responsible for cultivating new relationships for firms and FAs, while maintaining our relationships with existing partners. EDL includes the following business lines: Individual Retirement Protection Solutions Group Retirement **

This role will support the Western Region Sales and Account Management.**

  • Provides overall sales support to Sales and Account Management during the acquisition process by assisting/handling RFP submissions, proposal review, pricing/requote updates, proposal delivery, and broker support. This allows a deeper focus on generating additional new opportunities and a strengthening closing ratios and increasing the number of broker meetings.
  • Provides overall sales support to Sales and Account Management after case implementation by assisting and handling broker/customer education around EB360, billing, claims, etc. Provide overall support to the 2-24 market segment. This would be a market facing role that will support small group renewals, complex/escalated service inquiries, help provide enrollment guidance/materials, and other sales support requests. The role will enhance the overall broker/customer experience and provide a greater overall experience which will factor into the ability to generate new sales and premium growth of the inforce block.
  • The Marketing Support Representative provides dual sales support at both the acquisition level and across our inforce book of business. Provides the opportunity to build a broker/customer relationship at the market/regional level which builds a stronger broker/customer relationship which builds more confidence in providing a more robust overall experience while allowing the Sales Executives and Account Managers the ability to go deeper in their relationships and opportunities to grow new sales and have a stronger focus on renewals to drive persistency, profitability, and premium growth.

The base salary range for this position is $46,000-$67,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications**

  • Required knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • 2+ years experience in Business Office setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Preferred knowledge of employee benefit products including Life, Dental, STD, LTD and voluntary worksite products
  • Preferred background in insurance within areas of sales support and service
