Position Schedule: Full-Time
The Accessibility Program Team is a firm-wide function within Edward Jones' Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department. The Accessibility Program Team Leader is responsible to the firm's Director of Disability Inclusion and Accessibility and will lead a team of accessibility specialists and service support team members who create tools, processes, and governance to support the accessibility discipline at Edward Jones. **
The Accessibility Program Team**
- Enables the success of accessibility specialists who serve on delivery teams in the firm's many portfolios of digital products by developing tools, processes, educational resources, and capabilities that support digital product management.
- Governs the firm's digital accessibility technical standards.
- Provides HR accommodations assistive technology installation and support services to the firm's colleagues who have accessibility/accommodations needs.
- Creates firm-wide accessibility and disability inclusion trainings and content.
Successful Candidates Will Be Able To
- Act as product owner for the accessibility program team by prioritizing backlog tasks and facilitating agile planning with the core accessibility team.
- Develop and manage a governance process to support Accessibility Technical Standards owned by your function, including the testing/evaluation process, and proper intake and review of evidentiary documentation.
- Lead accommodations support specialists who provide software and technical support for clients and colleagues who have accessibility/accommodations needs.
- Lead accessibility specialists responsible for the development and maintenance of key accessibility capabilities such as governance processes, best practice and acceptance criteria library documentation, training materials, accessibility testing tools, etc.
- Advocate for the development and contributions of others and ensure development opportunities are provided equitably across the team.
- Prioritize knowledge and skill development for tomorrow.
- Lead with courage by shaping the firm's future, building highly effective teams, and inspiring personal growth.
- Initiate and direct the implementation of continuous improvements for accessibility processes.
- Coordinate with peer User Experience accessibility leaders to ensure alignment on team activities, strategies, objectives, and goals.
- Manage and develop self while internalizing leadership feedback.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
Hiring Minimum: $113810
Hiring Maximum: $193785 **
Skills/Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Instructional Design or Computer Science preferred, or related work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to Technology, Accessibility, or User Experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role (mentoring associates, lead analyst, project leaders, etc.) preferred
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG, WAI-AIRA)
- Solid understanding of assistive technology and accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, Dragon, Fusion, Deque, Wave, ZoomText
- Demonstrated experience developing or supporting an accessibility governance structure
- Future-thinking, strategic vision that will propel the accessibility program toward maturity and greater impact
- Ability to guide the team to create and execute a business plan that supports the firm's vision and goals
- Experience working collaboratively to develop, maintain, and implement digital accessibility technologies, policies, standards, and best practices
- Experience mentoring and/or coaching within an agile software development organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to present ideas, thoughts, arguments, and information clearly
- Talent for understanding and explaining technical issues and their implications for projects and business decisions, facilitating discussions and resolution of problems, and mentoring other technology associates
- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), or other certification is preferred
- Ability to respond well to direction, embrace feedback, and champion change
