Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 DOE

What you’ll do:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Manager of Operational Marketing and Sales Support to lead our marketing efforts, sales processes, & market analytics.  This role will be responsible for managing a team of 4-6 operational marketing and sales support specialists, focusing on driving operational excellence, optimizing sales processes, and providing essential support to our outside sales representatives and engineers. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with a strong background in marketing operations, sales support, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Marketing Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the strategic marketing team to develop and implement operational marketing strategies that align with sales objectives, driving brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of marketing materials to support the sales team, including online marketing.

Sales Support and Process Optimization:

  • Manage the creation of sales proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance sales processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

Team Management:

  • Lead and supervise a team of operational marketing and sales support specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Set performance objectives, KPIs, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor sales performance metrics, collect sales demand and forecast, providing strategic recommendations for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on team achievements, challenges, and opportunities for senior leadership.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the outside sales team and other functions (e.g., Operations and Finance), ensuring effective communication, alignment, and coordination of activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and CRM teams to optimize systems and tools used by the sales team.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to sales team members on marketing materials, tools, and processes.
  • Lead the onboarding of new sales team members, facilitating a smooth transition and integration.

What you need to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in marketing operations, sales support, or related roles, with 4+ years of managerial experience.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Salesforce and SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Technical acumen or ability to understand and support complex product offerings.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a small team in a dynamic environment.
