Your role: Senior Frontend Engineer Amsterdam

As a Senior Frontend Engineer in Amsterdam, you are the driving force behind expanding the robust and complex UI , developed in a cutting-edge cloud-native environment (GCP) . The focus is on implementing a UI/UX that is not only smooth, intuitive, flexible, and efficient but also meets the high demands of our (business) users. You have the opportunity to work closely with the entire engineering team and directly engage with both existing and potential customers . Here, you collaboratively tackle complex frontend solutions , such as real-time display of massive amounts of data in trading systems. A proactive attitude is crucial here, as a bottom-up culture prevails. In short, you and the dev team have complete autonomy over your responsibilities. In this transitioning scale-up environment , you can truly make an impact on GreenField frontend development and influence the frontend infrastructure and the course for the future. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you play a key role in the renewal of an already highly successful sector but in an entirely new guise! The current stack you'll be working with includes Vue & TypeScript on the Frontend . Additionally, Go & Python are used on the Backend, and GCP serves as the cloud-native technology. **

Opportunities For Growth**

Joining this scale-up in its early stages offers significant growth opportunities as one of the pillars of the organization. You can continue coding as a Principal Engineer or progress to one of the Tech Leads (eventually). **

What is required?**

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
  • TypeScript & Vue, or React/Angular
  • Self-driven and proactive attitude
  • Taking ownership of the Frontend and providing guidance where necessary
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to address issues in real-time
  • You have at least a completed IT-related HBO education and/or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in improving user workflows / assisting users in navigating exceptionally large, real-time datasets is a significant plus
  • Ideally, experience in a (FinTech) startup that underwent rapid growth and supported a large and diverse user base
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the financial services industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Go and/or Python is a plus
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud and/or Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience with wireframes and UX design tools is a plus
  • Located in The Netherlands, relocation is a not a possibility!

  • A gross annual salary between €75,000 and €95,000 (based on 40 hours, including holiday allowance), depending on knowledge level and added value
