The Growth Opportunity:

Our Strategic Account Manager will develop long-term relationships and partnerships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor to the C-Level Executives and Key Decision Makers of an organization. This role serves as the client’s primary advocate, understanding the clients short-term and long-term strategic objectives through in-depth analysis and continual assessment. The Strategic Account Manager will partner with an Account Management Specialist, internal team members and our Partner Team to provide clients with the fresh tools and robust solution needed to achieve their business goals.

An Accomplished Strategic Account Manager Will:

  • Partner with Account Management Specialist to provide on-going account management to our existing ERP customer base by developing trusted, advisory partnerships with client decision-makers across the entire organization, including finance, sales, marketing, HR, and IT.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Account Management Specialist.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the customer.
  • Produce professional, timely, and thorough Statements of Work (SOW’s), capture and document detailed customer information and notes in our CRM tool.
  • Drive the sales activities for our ERP solutions, enhancements, professional services, custom development, and third-party solutions by collaborating with cross-divisional team members to deliver thought-provoking, strategic solutions that thoroughly address the needs of our customers.
  • Work with both our internal and external teams to create and execute on strategy for add-on solutions and renewals.
  • Manage client retention and ensure timely client subscription payments.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and annual renewal reviews.
  • Act as an internal project manager to ensure recommended solutions are delivered on-time
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales/call/meeting quotas.
  • Learn and assimilate product knowledge, target-market, and product positioning for the solutions through online and in-person training. Become an expert in the ERP sales environment.
  • Follow modern technology sales best practices and methodologies.
  • Promote continuous personal and team member growth by giving and receiving coaching utilizing revenue intelligence tools.
  • Coordinate and attend in-person meetings with customer base (overnight travel will be required).

Your Daily Journey to Success Includes:

  • Maintaining and enhancing the client experience with a cadence of touch point, follow up, and educational/informational phone calls and/or emails.
  • Scheduling and conducting in-depth discovery meetings with clients and arrange customized software demonstrations.
  • Writing Statements of Work (SOW’s) for professional services engagements.
  • Creating a personalized plan of strategic engagement for each client.
  • Identifying and engaging with POR (Partner of Record) prospects via phone or email.
  • Obtaining pricing for solutions and services, including pricing from 3rd party vendors or ISV’s
  • Entering and updating client information and notes into our CRM.
  • Attending weekly team meeting, touch point meeting with manager, and company meetings, as required.
  • Scheduling on-site client visits and booking travel arrangements.
  • Traveling to client sites (Minimum of 10 clients site visits per quarter).

Breadth of Knowledge & Experience You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of ERP or CRM software sales experience required.
  • Subject matter expertise across manufacturing, distribution, and services is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity and experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and professional presence and demeanor.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, communication, and listening skills required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and proficiency with CRM tools (NetSuite or Acumatica).
  • Ability to travel, as needed, is required
