The Lactation Network is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator. Our vision is to create an integrated set of processes for our users, ranging from purchasing and configuring hardware to acting as an administrator for our various enterprise softwares. Along with the day-to-day activities of our systems, this position will optimize our onboarding processes, create administrative processes and standards, and contribute to the technical roadmap. As we grow and evolve, you’ll be a key player in the implementation of our technical vision and provide strong leadership in system administration.

Breakdown of the role - Systems Administration & Maintenance (60%) – The Senior Systems Administrator will configure system settings, conduct regular system maintenance, and perform user management. - Systems Integration (40%) – This role will work with our development team to establish and maintain integrations with a wide variety of systems.
What you’ll doReporting to the Director of Engineering, you’ll have responsibilities that include: - Design and implement hardware and software policies and processes. - Handle all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, etc. - Establish and execute processes for procurement of hardware and software. - Identify unused or underutilized platform features. - Establish secure practices for users and machine best practices. - Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders. - Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders. - Proactive system maintenance and audits including Security Reviews, required upgrades, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimization. - Monitor and improve user adoption of various technologies. - Manage new user and ongoing user training - Lead and mentor junior team members - Field and resolve issues triaged and escalated by User Support team - Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge bases
What we expect from you - 6+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role - 3 years of experience with common enterprise system platforms e.g. Cloud-based environments: ERP, CRM, Exchange, Azure/AWS - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar discipline or the recognized equivalent in education and experience - Experience in Entra (AD), Intune, Defender, Exchange, and other Microsoft applications - Experience with email administration, security and monitoring (Microsoft 365 - Experience gathering and documenting user requirements - A growth mindset - A bias for action - Close attention to detail - Strong collaboration and communication skills - High EQ - The ability to inspire - Poise under pressure - A glass-half-full attitude
