Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead an analyst team in providing strong financial analytics, data visualization, and insights to the HiTouch business unit leadership team, helping to influence the overall business and pricing strategy and to achieve Sales and EBITDA goals for all three segments of HiTouch (Contract, Marketplaces, Project Furniture)
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management, Sales, and Marketplace leadership teams to help shape the overall Pricing strategy for HiTouch.
  • Use existing Revenue Management tools to help provide recommendations for pricing optimization and drive a competitive pricing strategy for the HiTouch business units.
  • Manage daily/weekly/monthly sales and margin forecasting and reporting for all 3 segments of the HiTouch business at a segment and product category level
  • Own the overall monthly book close process for the HiTouch business unit including consolidation of segment full P&L results in collaboration with Accounting, Operations, and other Finance teams
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for all P&L line items across the three segments of HiTouch including sales, margin, headcount planning, and other selling & administrative expenses.
  • Own the preparation and communication of monthly operating reviews to HiTouch and Staples Senior leadership teams
  • Provide leadership with insights into full P&L results versus budget and LY and identify areas for expense savings
  • Proactively lead data innovation and automation to drive the business strategy and find ways to improve existing processes

Qualifications

  • Experience managing others and leading teams in providing advanced financial analytics and data insights to business leaders
  • Adept at developing trusted relationships and has demonstrated effective collaboration with business partners across diverse areas of the organization
  • Ability to think strategically and provide recommendations for long term growth and success
  • Be able to balance the interests of multiple stakeholders and prioritize projects with minimal guidance
  • Ability to influence others and anticipate the needs of business unit leadership in advance
  • Expertise in advanced financial analytics through ability to analyze monthly results, use of forecasting/budgeting principles, and providing ad-hoc analytics throughout various roles
  • Thrives in a constantly changing environment and has the ability to think outside the box

Basic Requirements

  • 8+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience - REQUIRED
  • BBA in Finance or related field, REQUIRED
  • Preferred experience with Advanced Analytical tools, such as:
    • Tableau
    • Power BI
    • Alteryx
    • SQL

Preferred

  • MBA in Finance or Related Field
