Technical Sales Representative

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday | 8:00am to 5:00pm (AEST) | 1hr for lunch
Saturday | 8:00am to 11:00am (AEST)
Merchandising Objective: organize the displaying of marketing material and products that are for sale in the showroom in a creative and professional way that informs and entices customers to purchase more products. Ensure the company brand is displayed on products.
Tools: shelving, branding, product presentation
Internal Sales Objective: Perform internal sales function and processes which includes taking customer enquiry, quoting customers, customer orders, invoicing customers, receiving customer product feedback, processing warranty claims and customer returns.
Tools: excel, point of sales system, phone, diary / notebook, emails, digital
shared folders/files, manual sales books, product feedback system,
supplier warranty forms.
Deliveries Objective: Perform local deliveries to customers.
Tools: mobile phone, vehicle.
Customer Accounts Objective: Build and maintain professional relationships with customers,
notify manager where customer details are incorrect, update customer
details using the appropriate forms and systems.
Tools: point of sales system, ERP system
Product Technical Knowledge
Objective: Understand general function and use of products. Able to
interpret machine assembly catalogues, identify assemblies and interpret
assembly diagrams and identify related part numbers.
Research and communicate product features and benefits to customers.
Understand differences between alternative products and communicate
the features and benefits relating to the alternative products.
Communicate products that may complement products being purchased.
Tools: online and electronic product catalogues, supplier websites,
internet, ERP system, point of sales system.
Warehouse & Fulfilment Objectives: Perform stocktake, receiving products from suppliers, calculate
freight costs, labelling products, put away products to bin locations, move
products, reviewing open customer sales orders, picking products from
shelving and packing customer orders and branch transfers, book freight,
performing jobs.
Tools: forklifts, vehicles, warehouse racking, trolleys, ERP system

Attributes / Competencies
1. Very high-level attention to detail with very low error rate.
2. Able to lift products up to 20Kg.
3. Excellent administration skills including electronic filing and document management.
4. Excellent English verbal and written.
5. Able to follow instructions, ask questions and complete tasks.
6. Intermediate level in MS excel inserting, formulas, cleansing, extracting, transforming data.
7. Intermediate level in MS Word.
8. 5+ years in a spare parts position or sales / warehouse position related to mechanical components.
9. Completed degree in mechanical engineering to Bachelor level or equivalent.
10. Has used windows-based ERP system/s eg: SAP, Epicor, MS Dynamics.
11. Experience with heavy machinery and or replacement spare parts for heavy machinery.
12. No criminal history
